A Mother’s Love

Parents are supposed to teach you about the value of love and loyalty. They are supposed to show you that you stick with your family, sacrifice for them, love them no matter how hard it is. My mother showed us none of that. I know that hurts to hear. But if I keep it quiet, it’s still true.

My aspie parent taught me about the value of facts and rules. She showed me the pain and defeat of loss of all family ever known and exactly how hard that is. I’ve been quiet and the truth is known to so few and I long for the day when what I’ve been through, all of it, is no longer a dramatic exaggeration of events but a hard, true, and valid recognized pain.
